LEAN and MEAN – Week 9 – Day 1 – Push The Pace!

Mondays are ALWAYS interesting.

I had a nice relaxing weekend so I was ready to crush it on Monday!

Hit it pretty hard.

Here’s my workout – LEAN and MEAN – Week 9 – Day 1

* Re tested my Handstand Push Ups for the Underground Strength Coach Contest – got 27….  Not happy!  I wanted 30…

1A) 1A Barbell Snatch 3 x 3, 2 x 1

2A) Snatch Grip Deadlifts 6 x 3

3A) DB Squat Clean 3 x 10

3B) Back Extension 3 x 15

3C) Hanging Straight Leg Raises 3 x 12

Definitely hit the foam roller after this one.

The last 3 exercises were killer!  I pushed the pace as best as I could and only rested about 60 secs between sets.

Short and sweet!

To increase the intensity in any workout, really PUSH THE PACE!

Forget about proper rest periods!  Your body will adapt to short rest periods over time resulting in prime conditioing levels, increased strength, and more muscle!

Go against the grain and throw the rules out the window!

Get after it!
